Privacy Policy for Qwhery’s Google Apps

This privacy policy governs the use and practices in connection with the Google Apps titled “Q11“, “Community Connect“, “Marketplace Milton“, “Service Cambridge“, “myDurham 311“, “Sugar Land“, “MyWhitby“, “MyOttawa“, “The City of Hamilton“, “Smart Collin County“, “Smart Rutherford” and “Where to Vote”. Protecting your private information is our priority. This Privacy Policy describes the treatment of information collected and posted on the Google Apps.

We fully respect your right to privacy and would like to safeguard the information you provide to us and will not use or collect any personal information on these Google Apps without your permission. Any Personal information which you voluntarily submit/provide to us will be treated with the highest standard of security and confidentiality and shall be used strictly for the purposes of the services provided by the Google Apps only. By using the Google Apps, You consent to the data practices described in this statement.

By using the Google Apps you signify your agreement to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the we reserve the right, in our sole discretion to change, modify, add and/or delete portions of the terms of this Privacy Policy at any time with immediate effect of such change.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties, including but not limited to any third party websites, services, applications, or businesses. We do not take responsibility for the content or privacy policies of those third party services. Please, carefully review the privacy policies of all third party services you access.

Collection and use of your personal information

To use some of the Apps’s features, such as Find Nearby Parks, and Email Directions, we’ll require you to enable sharing the physical and email addresses registered on your device. The Apps may also automatically collect certain information as part of its normal operation, including, but not limited to, your hardware device unique ID, a unique user ID. We are the sole owners of the information collected by the Google Apps.

We will not:
– Sell or rent this information to anyone.
– Use any information you provide to us to contact you.
– We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to find the closest amenities to your location, or to email you direction or details that you have requested from within the App.

Currently the Google Apps do not collect or store login information, names, or other personal information. Any future enhancements which deliver this capability will be notified at the time of delivery or upgrade, and you may consent or opt-out at will.

We may disclose any collected information:
– As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process,
– When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request,
– With our trusted services providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

Your access to and control over information

You may opt out of using the Google Apps at any time by disabling them from all of your devices.

We will retain the collected information for as long as you use the Google App(s) and for a reasonable time thereafter. If, after removing the Google App(s), you want us to remove all the collected information that we have stored, related to your interactions with the Google App(s), please send a message to hello@qwhery.com and we will respond in a reasonable time.

Your consent

By using the Google Apps, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. “Processing,” means using information collected by the Apps or by the computer network facilities provided by Google in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom or in any country of the European Community. If you reside outside of the above listed countries your information will be transferred, processed and stored there under European Union privacy standards.

If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you shall not access or use these Google Apps. Your continued access or use of the Google App(s) following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will be deemed to be your acceptance of these changes.
